Your Career
As a Senior Manager, Global Crisis Management, you will be instrumental in enhancing Palo Alto Networks' ability to effectively prepare for, respond to, and recover from significant events and crises. You will be a key driver in the development and execution of our global crisis management program, focusing on strengthening our organizational response capabilities through comprehensive planning, rigorous exercises, and continuous improvement. Your leadership will foster a culture of preparedness and resilience across the organization and while enhancing the trust of our customers and stakeholders.
Your Impact
Exercise and Training Leadership: Orchestrate and facilitate cross-functional crisis management exercises (micro, tabletop, functional, full-scale) to test plans, identify gaps, and enhance organizational readiness.
Develop and deliver targeted training programs to improve crisis response capabilities and "CM bench strength" across leadership and operational teams.
Scale our CM assurance activities to meet growing customer and regulator demands and partner with internal and external stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Influence & Collaboration: Partner closely with internal stakeholders across IT, Security, Legal, Communications, Human Resources, and other relevant functions to integrate crisis management principles and ensure alignment of response strategies.
Incident Response Support: Provide expert guidance and support during actual crisis events, helping to coordinate response efforts, disseminate critical information, and ensure timely resolution and recovery.
Operational Risk Integration: Collaborate with operational risk management and other risk functions to ensure crisis management strategies are integrated into the broader risk frameworks, addressing identified vulnerabilities, emerging threats, and opportunities.
Performance Measurement & Reporting: Develop metrics and reporting mechanisms to track program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and communicate program status to senior leadership.
Industry Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging threats in crisis management to ensure the program remains current, effective, and compliant.
Broader Resiliency Program Support: Support broader efforts and initiatives across all of the organizational resilience efforts, as needed.
Your Experience
Proven experience in designing, conducting, and evaluating crisis management exercises and training programs.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Emergency Management, Information Security, Risk Management) or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years of experience in crisis management, incident response, business continuity, or a related field, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or senior role.
Strong understanding of crisis communication strategies and incident command systems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions under pressure.
Certifications such as CBCP, MBCP, or similar industry-recognized certifications are a plus.
