Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for daily program operations to ensure compliance with OAR standards for secured residential treatment facilities.
  • Supervise program staff, including assignment of work, evaluation, coaching, and approval of time off.
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new staff; recommend promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations as appropriate.
  • Monitor daily facility operations, including staffing patterns, shift coverage, and resident needs.
  • Ensure completion of individualized resident treatment and support plans; participate in resident staffing meetings and care coordination with prescribers.
  • Oversee budget, purchasing, and resource allocation, including approval of staff expenditures and maintenance of adequate facility supplies.
  • Assure timely completion of prior authorizations and supporting documentation for services, coordinate with billing and utilization management teams.
  • Oversee safety compliance, including evacuation drills per OAR requirements.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, respond to emergencies after hours.
  • Maintain open communication with community partners and internal Lifeways departments.
  • Ensure timely completion of program, client, and fiscal records, including medical, behavioral, and activity documentation.
  • Monitor service quality, program integrity, and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Provide transportation for residents when needed.
  • Promote a professional, respectful, and recovery-focused environment for residents and staff.
  • Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s degree in behavioral science, psychology, social work, counseling, or a closely related field.
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) status as defined by OAR 309-019-0105
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Successful completion of background check.

Preferred:

  • Licensed LCSW or LPC.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a behavioral health or residential treatment setting.
  • Knowledge of Oregon Administrative Rules relevant to secured residential and behavioral health programs.
